‘The Black Swan‘ by Nassim Taleb is a book every entrepreneur should read.
According to the author, theories are pretty much useless in predicting what will happen in the world. The only thing that counts is the practical experience you gain by operating in a real-life scenario.
Take what happens to most people who try to start a business online…
They might start by watching YouTube™ videos of experts, reading books on how to start a business, a guide on how to hire stellar employees or a manual on launching your first offer online.
But that’s not enough…
They now feel like they need to go a bit more in depth. This is when they start buying courses or masterclasses where they can dive deep into all the aspects of starting and scaling an online business.
Some even feel like they need to hire a coach before having created anything substantial.
And the pinnacle of all this is to enroll in a 4-year program that costs $100k+ so they can learn the foundations of business and entrepreneurship.
But once they finally decide to launch their offer… it tanks.
And, lacking the experience which you can only accumulate by working in the trenches, they have no idea what needs to be fixed.
In my experience, there is a better way of mastering whatever skill you want (and creating your own business out of it):
Testing rapidly and doubling down on what works.
If you truly want to be successful in this online game, the only thing that truly matters is to get up and running fast and tweak along the way.
The beauty of operating online is how fast you can get feedback on your actions.
You can immediately know if your assumptions are working for now and reassess based on this data.
Following this principle is what allowed me to make millions of dollars before I turned 30…
And the reason why I’ve designed all my courses to give students all the assets and support they need to move from idea to execution as fast as possible.
Once you understand that speed and action are everything in this business, and that it’s far better to deploy something that isn’t yet perfect than not launching anything at all, you’ll be truly unstoppable.
