Today, United States Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman submitted a letter to the judge officially recommending that the rapper\u2019s sentence be reduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Tekashi says<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c[Daniel] Hernandez provided the Government with critical insight into the structure and organization of Nine Trey, identified the gang\u2019s key players, and described acts of violence that he personally witnessed or that he heard about from other Nine Trey members,\u201d Berman wrote in a letter viewed by Pitchfork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6ix9ine is commended by prosecutors for aiding them in obtaining \u201ctimely convictions for all defendants.\u201d Berman also noted that 6ix9ine\u2019s testimony and the widespread media coverage of his comments put the rapper in danger. \u201cHernandez testified in the face of threats of safety to him and his family,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are on you Tekashi&#8217;s side?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tekashi 6ix9ine\u2019s sentencing in his federal will happen on December 18.
