Tell us about your vision as an artist.
WRAWKSTAR: Life is a magical experience with absolutely no limitations, yet sometimes we live as if the opposite were true. I want my music to set people free, to show that you can truly do anything. Each song captures a vibe, an emotion as pure as possible. My whole life people have kept trying to put me in a box, and I will continue to break out of the boxes and inspire others to do the same.
How did you promote your music in the early days?
WRAWKSTAR: Events. A lot of people drop a project and just put it as a link in their bio or make a story on Instagram. This is the bare minimum. You need to make everything you do a big deal, believe in it so much that others can’t help but support. Everytime I drop a song I promote beforehand for weeks, and build a lot of hype. Just make sure whatever you make lives up to that hype.
How have you been able to grow your fanbase?
WRAWKSTAR: If you have an undeniably good product and promote it properly, it is inevitable that people will support you. You are in control of the process, not the timeline. Realize this, get to work, and enjoy the comeup!
What are some secrets to virality/sales in your most successful platform (Fb, Twitter, IG, Snap, Ecommerce, etc)?
WRAWKSTAR: I am constantly engaging with my audience, letting them know what I’m doing, when the next release is, telling them how grateful I am for their support. If you stay engaged with your fanbase, they will return the favor and stay engaged with you.
Teach us something we don’t know.
WRAWKSTAR: We all create and consume in varying amounts in our lives. Take account of which you may be doing more than the other.
What do you think you do better than most people? How are you able to do it?
WRAWKSTAR: I think about myself very little. Reading the title of this article you may think otherwise, but I really don’t think about myself all that much. This gives me the freedom to take rapid action.
How do you deal with criticism?
WRAWKSTAR: When it comes to art, criticism is just a form of attention which is your ultimate currency. If you understand this, haters will not bother you so much. You have to be willing to handle everyone’s opinion while staying centered on your own vision.
Where do you see yourself and your brand in a couple years? What’s your dream?
WRAWKSTAR: I am living my dream, that’s the mentality I stay zoned in on everyday. The dream is right now. Every time I create, I am winning. Every time I release a song, I am winning. Every time a gain a new listener, I am winning. The growth is inevitable.
