All of which don’t require a lot of physical presence by Yan which allows him the freedom to be anywhere in the world and still be able to operate his businesses. Yan went on to say that “Freedom is the ultimate goal and creating businesses that do not require your physical presence makes you one step closer to meeting the goal of ultimate freedom and six months into 2020 it has never been easier to do so”.
Traveling the world has always been a passion for Yan and since the age of 18 Yan has been visiting a new country almost every month consecutively. An incredible statistic Yan has accomplished is a whopping 140 flights including 20 different countries all traveled to in 2019. What’s even crazier is the fact that Yan pays next to nothing for all of the flights, hotels, and additional rentals during his time spent traveling. What does Yan call this? “Travel Hacking”, which is something that Yan has established himself in the community as an expert at.
What is Travel Hacking?
To explain, Travel Hacking is the art of mastering the Credit Card Reward system. Furthermore, Yan explained that it’s all about maximizing the sign-up bonuses, statuses, and points offered with each different credit card in order to use the various benefits to travel for next to nothing. When Yan was 18 he spent all of the $3,000 he had to his name; that was at the beginning of his travel hacking journey. Yan explained his joy for traveling saying “The experience of traveling the world, seeing other countries, cultures, meeting new people, and creating amazing memories was what got me hooked on traveling but having spent all the money I had at the time made traveling seemingly impossible, that is, until I learned about credit card points…”
Travel Hacking is an ever-changing art that without a doubt takes some time to learn. If you love to travel, or love luxury, it is certainly worth it to learn more. In order to get your foot in the door with travel hacking your first step is to have a great credit score of (+720) or higher. Yan went on to say the more creative a person is the more they will find success through learning the Travel Hacking basics and establishing the framework. By the time Yan had turned 22, he had nearly 25 credit cards and amassed millions of travel reward points. The various perks have allowed Yan to stay in the most luxurious hotels, airport lounges and first class business seats aboard international flights all while spending $0 in the process.
Yan went on to say that “you certainly won’t learn any of this in college, especially because credit is surprisingly not a subject taught or prioritized in our school systems”. Take Yans word for it, as he graduated from college and received two degrees from two different universities. Yan believes the education system is nearly useless, even for a lot of professions that legally require a college education. Yan stated, “Everything I’ve learned and know today that has allowed me to experience the levels of success I have now is simply by listening to people who are doing and achieving the things I want to do and executing on the information”. This education principle is something that Yan uses in his everyday life.
Yan lives with the belief that society conditions us to think a certain way about everything but in reality, a successful life requires you to go in the complete opposite direction of the ordinary way of doing things, and based on the success, freedom, and happiness Yan has already experienced in his life by the age of 25, we can certainly learn from him and implement a lot of his principals in our lives.
